Suburban Campus Transformation Moving to Next Stage

January 22, 2019

Construction on Suburban Hospital’s new clinical addition has reached a key milestone with the dismantling and removal of the last tower crane.

Construction on Suburban Hospital’s new clinical addition has reached a key milestone with the dismantling and removal of the last tower crane. The stunning brick and glass external façade is nearly complete, with the building crew working to install the remaining windows and finish the roof. They will then turn their attention to the interior, which is already well underway.

The state-of-the-art building is scheduled to open in early 2020 and will include private medical/surgical rooms for all patients, as well as a complete replacement of existing operating rooms to be adjacent to the emergency department. Of the 14 replacement operating rooms, one will be a hybrid operating room equipped for both surgical procedures and advanced interventional procedures. Prior to the completion of the new clinical areas, a new main lobby and Marriott Education & Conference Center will open in late 2019.
